Designed for clients that are new to Pilates. You will learn the fundamentals of alignment and how to properly use core muscles. Covers both mat & the Reformer.

How long have you been doing Pilates?
How did you find out about Pilates?
I had heard about it, but didn’t know much about it. My friend Teresa was enthusiastic about taking Pilates and recommended Bodycenter Studios.
Can you describe how Pilates helped your individual situation, injury, or overall fitness goals?
Pilates has helped me with flexibility, core strength, and balance. It has been particularly helpful as my hip deteriorated and had to be replaced. Shane adjusted my exercises before and after the surgery to accommodate my limitations.
What is your favorite exercise, favorite piece of equipment, or favorite thing about Pilates?
I like the stretching exercises, in particular “the Jordan.” (From the Director: The Jordan is fondly named after one of our instructors, Jordan Blair. It’s a great spinal extension exercise. Ask about it next time you are at the studio.)
Do you have any advice for people that may be in a similar situation and are interested in doing Pilates?
Pilates will benefit people of any age. I plan to keep doing it forever.
